“Unless we go to Circular it’s game over for the planet; it’s game over for society”
Going “circular” refers to the necessary change from our current take-make-waste linear economy to a borrow-use-return circular economy (sometimes also referred to as the zero-waste or cradle-to-cradle economy).
Join TREA and the ICS for a free screening of Closing The Loop (2018) - an award-winning documentary about the circular economy, with incredible examples of materials recovery projects from around the world - followed by friendly discussion. Watch the trailer here.
Date and time: Tuesday, October 15, 7-8 PM
Location: Reimagine Co (206 Piccadilly St)
A circular economy can improve the value of natural resources, reduce carbon emissions, and eliminate waste. It benefits the environment – and by extension, humans and biodiversity.
Join TREA and the ICS for an in-person discussion about how a circular economy benefits the planet and everything on it! Share your thoughts on topics like tackling climate change, cleaner water and water conservation, increased resource recovery, expanding the definition of wealth, increasing biodiversity, reducing waste, and more.
Date and time: Tuesday, October 22, 7-8 PM
Location: Online
Transitioning to a circular economy allows societies to move towards a more sustainable and equitable future. By promoting the continuous use of resources through circular business models, the circular economy offers several social and economic opportunities and benefits.
Join TREA and the ICS for another online discussion - this time about the social and economic benefits of circularity. Can a circular economy save you money, create new jobs, support your mental health, and more? Yes, it can! Let's chat.
